the process
Design Consultation: Once you have booked your session, we will schedule your design consultation, which will be held in my studio. We will talk about what products and colors will work best in your home - I have samples for you to look at, so you can start to get an idea of what you love!
The Session: Newborn sessions last anywhere from 2-4 hours, and I create a very calm, relaxed atmosphere. The session will take place in my studio, and I will have everything we need - even if you forget your diaper bag, you won't have to worry about a thing! You can sit and relax while I take the photos of your baby - some parents even take a nap!
Maternity and baby milestone sessions can be held in my studio or at an outdoor location. Family sessions take place at an outdoor location, and I have a few fantastic options for you to choose from!
View and Order Appointment: About two weeks after your session, we will have your View and Order Appointment. I will show you a beautiful slideshow of your final images, and then I will help you narrow down your favorites and pick out the perfect products to fit your needs. Please make sure all decision makers are present as your order will be placed that day.
Other details: Hair and make-up is included for mom with all maternity and family sessions, and can be added to the newborn session. Professional hair and make-up really does make a HUGE difference in your photos, and can take away so much stress on your session day when you don't have to worry about smudged eye make-up or a bad hair day. And who doesn't love a little bit of pampering??
All maternity and family sessions also include access to 1-2 beautiful gowns from my client closet! You will be able to try them on at your Design Consultation. All of my gowns are hand-picked to photograph well and make you feel FABULOUS!

what to expect
The best time to schedule your newborn session is in your second trimester (or earlier). I take a limited amount of sessions each month to make sure I am giving each of my clients my full attention, so the earlier you schedule, the better! The best time to do a newborn session is when baby is 5-9 days new, as they are much easier to pose and keep sleepy. If your baby is older, don't hesitate to call, as we can still get some beautiful shots!
Maternity sessions are typically done between 28-33 weeks so you have a nice baby bump, but are not uncomfortable sitting and posing. Please schedule the session as soon as possible to make sure you get on the calendar.
Whether you are about to add a new little member to your family, or you want to capture that first year that seems to be gone in the blink of an eye, you're here because you need someone to tell your story. You know that time goes by SO fast, and that those baby rolls and first smiles will be replaced with busy toddlers, and then suddenly your kids are running off to school! Wherever you're at right now, I want to tell your story. I want you to have beautiful, heirloom products in your home, so you never forget those tiny toes & toothless smiles, or when your baby could easily fit in your arms. I want you to be able to walk by these photos of your kids every day, and pass them down for generations.
Session fees range from $150-$250, depending on the type of session (prints and digitals sold separately).
Custom collections are chosen after the session. I do not have set packages, but instead give you the freedom to create the perfect collection of products for you and your home. Clients typically invest $1500 and up on their custom artwork.
Baby plans are available, and the session options include various milestones from maternity to year two - this is a great way to make sure you never miss a big moment! Please contact me for details.
the investment
Shopping for hours to find something you feel good in (especially when you're pregnant) can be stressful! I'm here to help you with that, and make your session even EASIER. Access to the client closet is available to ALL clients! I have a wide variety of colors and styles to choose from, and they are all carefully selected to make you look and feel your BEST. Before your session, we will schedule a time for you to come and try on the gowns, and choose 1 or 2 that you love. Professional hair and makeup is included in all maternity and family sessions, so you will never have to stress about how you look on session day - you can focus on having fun and feeling absolutely gorgeous!
